Lakawon, also called Llacaon, is a 16-hectare, banana-shaped island off the coast of Cadiz in the northern portion of Negros Occidental, a province in the Negros Island Region of the Philippines. It is the home of TawHai, the biggest floating bar in Asia.

How to get to Lakawon
Via Private Car - Using a private drive from Bacolod City to Lakawon Port in Brgy. Burgos Cadiz City. When you reached Brgy. Burgos, Cadiz City welcome banner. You must turn left at the street with a mini town terminal and a welcome sign named “Welcome Brgy. Burgos.”

From Bacolod City or any point of Negros Occidental, your goal is to reach this signage of Brgy. Burgos. This is before Cadiz City proper if you’re from Bacolod or Silay Airport.

From Bacolod City North Ceres Terminal, get to Cadiz-bound bus and go down at the Burgos Signage above.

Bacolod City is the gateway to Cadiz City and Lakawon Island. Philippine Airlines and Cebu Pacific fly to Bacolod from Manila, Cebu, Clark, Cagayan de Oro and Davao.

From Silay Airport, get a tricycle outside the airport or a commuter van to Silay proper. Get to a Cadiz Ceres Bus or any that is northbound (except Victorias, Manapla). Go down to Brgy. Burgos above. Ride a tricycle to Lakawon Pier.

Once you arrive at Bacolod Pier, commute to Ceres North Terminal and take Cadiz-bound Bus.

From Iloilo City, Bacolod is only one hour by fast craft. Three fast craft operators serve the route with numerous departures daily starting at 6AM up to 5PM, plus terminal fee.

Cebu to Lakawon Island - From Cebu City, the fastest way to reach Lakawon Island is by taking a three-hour bus to the town of Tabuelan where you can catch a ferry to Escalante City for a two-hour voyage. From Escalante City, Cadiz City is less than two hours away by public transport.
