NIYOGYUGAN Festival 2016 Tourist Attraction of Quezon Province
Niyogyugan Festival in Quezon Province held the first AGRI-TOURISM Trade Fair featuring booths adorned by agricultural produce and products from different municipalities here in Quezon. “Niyogyugan festival” set on August 15-23 in this city.

NIYOGYUGAN Festival, the celebration of the tree of life, and the very first provincial festival, was conceptualized by former Congresswoman Aleta Suarez and there will be 3 inter-related events competitions namely: Float, Dance, and Festival Queen.

NIYOGYUGAN Festival activity (Aug. 15); opening of agri-tourism exposition at Perez park, Lucena City (Aug. 18); Quezon day celebration which will be highlighted by floral offering at Quezon monument-Perez Park, Lucena City and Quezon medalya ng karangalan awards day at Queen Margarette Hotel, Domoit, Lucena City (Aug. 19). Bb. Niyogyugan pre-pageant and talent competition at event center, SM City Lucena, (Aug. 22); Araw ng pamilyang magsasaka at Quezon Convention Convention Center, Lucena (with ABS-CBN- UmagangkayGanda- UKG coverage)-Aug. 23; August 27 grand parade and float competition, street dance and showdown competition; August 28 awarding ceremonies for different competitions including the selection of best booth (nipa hut with exhibits) shall be held also at the Quezon Convention Center, Lucena City

NIYOGYUGAN came from the words "niyog" and "yugyog" (to move to a beat). Other festivals celebrates in Quezon Province with the 39 municipalities and 2 cities for whole year, from January to December. The festival name is a Tay-Tsinoy Festival during January or February in Tayabas, the Tagultol Fishing Festival during July-August in Atimonan, the Maubanog Festival during July in Mauban, Boling Boling Festival in Catanauan, the Gayang Festival in Guinyangan and of course, the world renowned Pahiyas Festival during May in Lucban, Quezon. These celebrations are usually based on culture and spiritual traditions of Quezonians.
